TERMS AND CONDITIONS

ORDERING AND PAYMENT

When ordering, you will make full and immediate payment via the checkout process on the website.  Payment can be made via Paypal or credit/debit card and all transactions are handled by a secure third party (Paypal.)

On placing an order, you will receive an email acknowledging receipt of your order.  This email is not an acceptance of the order nor is it a confirmation of an offer to sell. An order is deemed to be an offer by the customer to purchase items on this website and is subject to acceptance.  We may choose not to accept an order for any reason.

You must ensure that your personal details, including the address for delivery, are complete and accurate.  I will only despatch to the shipping address given at the time of your order.

Once an order has been accepted and despatched, you will receive an email advising you that your order is now complete.  Once an order has been accepted by me, paid for by you and despatched the contract between us is deemed to be concluded.

COMMISSIONS AND PERSONALISED ITEMS

I do not offer refunds for custom or personalised items.  Please ensure at the time of ordering that all of the information you provide is accurate and correct.
Your right to cancel does not cover contracts for goods made to your specification (custom-made).

Longer timescales for creation and despatch of custom or personalised items will be advised at time of ordering.

PRICING AND VAT

All prices and postage costs are given in British pounds (GBP). I am not registered for VAT.

DESPATCH TIMES

I aim to dispatch your order within 3 working days of receipt of payment.  (Working days do not include Saturdays, Sundays or Bank Holidays.)  In the advent of any unexpected delay, I will contact you to explain and discuss options.

DELIVERY COSTS

Shipping costs are clearly displayed before you are asked to confirm your order.  At present, I am only able to ship to addresses within the UK.

I use Royal Mail 1st Class postage for all items.  Royal Mail currently aim to deliver on the next working day after postage, however this is not guaranteed and I cannot be held responsible for any delays caused by Royal Mail.

  • Royal Mail 1st Class Large Letter (up to 100g): £1.70
  • Royal Mail 1st Class Large Letter (up to 250g): £2.20
  • Royal Mail 1st Class Small Parcel (up to 1kg): £4.35
  • Royal Mail 1st Class Small Parcel (up to 2kg): £6.00
  • Royal Mail 1st Class Medium Parcel (over 2kg): £15.00

If your parcel does not arrive within a reasonable time, please contact me so I can investigate. Please be aware however that Royal Mail does not consider a parcel to be missing until the 15th working day after posting.

CANCELLATION

Should you wish to cancel your order, you may do so at any time prior to despatch.  A full refund minus any postage costs (should they have already been incurred) will be given as soon as possible and no later than 14 days from the date of cancellation.  Refunds will be made via the same method used for the order.

If your order has already been despatched, you may still cancel the order within 14 days but must return the item(s), as detailed in the Returns procedure below.  Once I have received your return, I will process any refund due within 14 days.  Refunds will be made via the same method used for the order.

DAMAGED, FAULTY OR INCORRECT ORDERS

In the unlikely event that your goods arrive damaged, are faulty in some way or contain incorrect items, please contact me as soon as possible via email (sally@greenlaneglass.co.uk) and send photographs of the damaged or faulty items, together with photographs of the outside packaging if that has also been damaged.  Damaged, faulty or incorrect items should then be returned to me by 1st Class post in secure packaging.  I will offer a full refund within 14 days, including return postage costs or replacement items subject to availability.

RETURNS

If for any other reason you are not happy with your goods (unwanted, not as expected, changed your mind), you have the right to return them for a full refund minus postage costs.  You should advise me of this within 14 days of receipt of your order and items should be returned in the original packaging and in a resalable condition. If you fail to take reasonable care of the items while they are in your possession, I will not be able to offer a full refund.  Return postage is at your own expense and it is your responsibility to ensure that the package is securely packed and that the correct postage is paid.  I strongly suggest that a tracked postal method is used as I cannot take responsibility for good that are lost in transit.

Once I have received your return, I will process any refund due within 14 days of receipt of the returned item.  Refunds will be made via the same method used for the order.

SAFETY AND PROPER USE

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that items purchased from Green Lane Glass are used appropriately.  All of the handmade items featured on this website are fully kiln annealed for strength, safety and durability, however they are still glass and should be treated with suitable care.  None of the items are sold as toys and they are not suitable for children.  Green Lane Glass cannot take responsibility for injury or damage arising from improper use.
